Your Room & Resort

About the Resort

Club Med Peisey-Vallandry is a cosy Savoie-style hamlet built of wood and stone, made up of several chalets in the traditional mountain style. Rooms are warm and inviting, with red and grey tones and thick carpets.

Dine at La Vanoise, the main restaurant with panoramic mountain views and Savoyard favourites like raclette and fondue, or at La Pierra Menta for a finer dining experience.

Payment Schedule

• Deposit: $1,093 CAD per room to reserve
• Final payment: due January 15, 2027

Prices in Canadian dollars, for 2 guests sharing. Ask Ian about single occupancy and which rooms are still available in the group.

We can arrange flights, transfers and ski rental for you, so your gear is fitted and waiting when you arrive.

Insider Tips

• Paradiski is one of the largest linked ski areas in the world, and about 70% of its runs sit above 2,000 m,.
• The Vanoise Express cable car links Les Arcs and La Plagne and is just outside the resort's ski room.
• Strong skiers can look for the 7 km Aiguille Rouge descent in Les Arcs.
• Pre-book your ski and boot rental through us so it's fitted and waiting when you arrive.
• Not skiing every day? Try a guided snowshoe hike into Vanoise National Park.
• Tell us about any dietary needs ahead of time so we can pass them to the resort.

Flights & Transfers

Getting to the French Alps

Flights from Toronto to Europe are usually overnight, landing the next morning. The closest airports, with approximate transfer times to the resort:

• Grenoble: about 2 hr 20 min
• Lyon: about 2 hr 30 min
• Geneva: about 3 hr

Arriving by train? Landry station is about 15 minutes away, and Bourg-Saint-Maurice about 30 minutes.

Returning Home

Check-out is on Sunday, March 28. Allow for the transfer time back to your airport when choosing a flight home. More information on check-out times coming soon.

Transfers

Airport and resort transfers are not included. Once we know your flights, we can arrange transfers between the airport and Peisey-Vallandry.

Travel Insurance

Before you travel, take a few minutes to review the coverage you may already have through your work benefits, a credit card, or an existing policy.

Check what's included for out-of-country medical, trip cancellation, and trip interruption, and note any limits or exclusions. For a ski trip, also confirm your policy covers downhill skiing.

Where your current coverage falls short, we recommend topping it up so you're fully protected for the trip.

Ski with ESF Instructors

Five days of lessons and guiding with France's legendary ESF instructors are included. Groups are set by ability, so first-timers and experts alike get the most out of every day.

Your mountain pass covers all 6 ski days, so you can keep exploring after lessons wrap up.

Ski 3 Resorts from 1 Base

Paradiski links Peisey-Vallandry, Les Arcs and La Plagne into 425 km of runs, with about 70% above 2,000 m. The Vanoise Express cable car connects Les Arcs and La Plagne, and it's just outside the resort's ski room.

Expect two glaciers, summits over 3,000 m, and terrain for every level, including the 7 km Aiguille Rouge descent.

Après-Ski & Theme Nights

With an open bar included, après-ski is easy. Gather on the terrace for cocktails with mountain views, then cozy up by the fire. Evenings bring entertainment and social theme nights with the group.

Pool, Wellness & Spa

Rest tired legs in the heated pool and join the wellness program, both included. For a treat, Club Med Spa by Sothys offers treatments at an extra cost. We recommend booking spa time early in your week.

Packing List

Ski Clothing

Waterproof ski jacket and pants, thermal base layers, a warm mid layer (fleece or light down), ski socks, gloves or mittens, a neck warmer and goggles. Bring your own helmet if you prefer, or rent one with your gear.

Resort Wear

Comfortable casual clothes for the evenings, a swimsuit for the heated pool, and something a little dressier for theme nights.

Footwear

Warm, waterproof winter boots with good grip for walking around the village, plus slippers or indoor shoes.

Sun & Snow

Sunscreen, lip balm with SPF and sunglasses. Alpine sun is strong, even on cold days.

Extras

France uses Type C and E plugs at 230 V, so bring a travel adapter. Pack any medications in your carry-on.

Weather Tips

Late March in the Alps

Late March is spring skiing season: longer, sunnier days, with snow kept in good shape on the high-altitude runs. Mornings are cold and firm, afternoons softer.

Temperatures

Conditions change quickly with altitude. Expect cold mornings and milder afternoons in the village, and colder temperatures on the upper slopes. Check the forecast the week before you go.

Sun Protection

Sun reflecting off snow is intense at altitude. Wear sunscreen and goggles or sunglasses every day.

Money & Currency

Local Currency

France uses the euro (€).

Cards vs. Cash

Credit and tap cards are widely accepted. Carry a small amount of euros for incidentals in the villages, and let your bank know your travel dates.

Resort Spending

Meals, the open bar and most activities are included. Extras like spa treatments and boutique purchases are charged to your room account and settled before you leave.

Documents

Passport

Your Canadian passport must be valid until at least June 28, 2027 (three months beyond your departure from the Schengen Area) and must have been issued within the previous 10 years. We recommend six months' validity to be safe. You'll also need at least 2 blank pages.

Visa & ETIAS

Canadians don't need a visa for stays under 90 days. The EU's ETIAS travel authorisation is expected to launch around the end of 2026, so it may apply to this trip. We'll let you know when and where to apply.

At the Border

The EU's Entry/Exit System is rolling out, so expect a photo and fingerprints to be taken on arrival.
